Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically active Civil Engineering Intern to support our on-site redevelopment team. This is a 100% field-based role where you will gain hands-on experience in urban renewal, from the demolition of old structures to the execution of high-rise foundations. You will act as the "eyes and ears" of the Project Manager on the ground. Key Responsibilities (Field Focus) 1. Site Supervision & Execution Daily Monitoring: Supervise day-to-day construction activities (excavation, RCC work, masonry) to ensure they match the approved architectural and structural drawings. Demolition Oversight: Assist in monitoring safe demolition practices and debris management—a critical phase in redevelopment. Layout & Marking: Assist the surveyor in site marking, centerline layouts, and ensuring the "line and level" of the building are accurate. 2. Quality Control & Material Management Material Testing: Witness and document on-site tests (slump tests for concrete, cube casting, and steel diameter checks). Inventory Tracking: Maintain the Inward/Outward Register for materials like cement, steel, and sand to prevent wastage or theft. Checklists: Fill out "Pre-Concreting" and "Post-Concreting" checklists to ensure no structural errors are buried in the slab. 3. Documentation & Reporting DPR (Daily Progress Reports): Prepare a detailed daily log of labor strength, work completed, and any technical hurdles faced. Bar Bending Schedule (BBS): Assist the senior engineer in calculating the steel requirements and verifying the reinforcement placement on-site. Photo Documentation: Maintain a photographic record of the project’s evolution for stakeholder updates. This is field job hence apply cautiosly
